"If you love this country, you serve her," Huntsman told CNN's Piers Morgan when asked whether he would consider being Bachmann's VP. "If you're in a position to better the country, to bring whatever background you have to bear, whatever experiences to use in fine-tuning our future, I'll be the first person to sign up."
Huntsman has used a similar line to explain why he accepted President Obama's nomination to be the U.S. ambassador to China.
Asked the same question about rival Mitt Romney, Huntsman joked, "I can't imagine it at all."
